Family Memories and a Stadium Microphone: Our California Trip
Brae’s first Disney trip, a little beach time, and a WGU celebration that ended with a stadium microphone and fireworks.

A week to remember
Some trips remind me how thankful I am for what I get to do.
Our recent trip to Southern California was one of those. I got to spend time with Ashton and Brae, experience Disney through a two year old’s eyes, enjoy the beach, and finish the trip DJing a WGU graduation celebration at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
That is a pretty hard week to beat.
Brae’s first Disney trip
This was Brae’s first time at Disney, and watching him take it all in was something special. He rode his first roller coaster and had so much fun.
He also got in free. As a dad paying for a Disney trip, I appreciated that part more than he did.

The Ferris wheel face
One moment we definitely won’t forget happened on the gondola Ferris wheel. Ashton was filming Brae when, all of a sudden, it felt like our gondola dropped. The look on his face was priceless, and thankfully she caught it on video.
Some family memories deserve a photo. That one needed video.
A little sand and a very happy kid
We also made time for the beach, and Brae loved playing in the sand. That made his mom especially happy because Ashton loves the beach.
The water was too cold to get in, but Brae didn’t need to swim to have a great time. He was perfectly happy right there in the sand.
Those are the moments I’m grateful we get to have together. Getting away, seeing something new, and watching your kid discover what he loves makes a trip mean so much more.

From family time to Angel Stadium
On Friday, November 6, 2026, I got to DJ WGU’s graduation celebration outside Angel Stadium.
The atmosphere was electric. Everyone was having a good time and celebrating a major accomplishment. Getting to help create the soundtrack for a moment like that is one of my favorite parts of this job.
Then the night gave me a moment I’ll remember for a long time.
I went inside the stadium, and they handed me a microphone that could be heard throughout the whole stadium. Before the fireworks kicked off, I got to lead everyone in the arm motion from Angels in the Outfield.
Doing that at Angel Stadium was super cool. There are times in this business when you stop for a second and think, “I can’t believe I get to do this.”
That was definitely one of them.
Grateful for the people behind it
I’m incredibly thankful to WGU for the opportunities they’ve given me to DJ in places I never imagined I would. Being trusted to help celebrate their graduates means a lot.
I’m just as thankful for my team at Brock Entertainment. They’re amazing, and the work they do allows me to say yes to opportunities like this. Having people I can count on makes it possible to travel, serve our clients, and bring my family along for experiences we might not otherwise get to have.
That means more to me than I can really put into words.
This trip gave us Brae’s first Disney memories, time at the beach with Ashton, a Ferris wheel video we’ll be watching for years, and a graduation celebration that ended with a stadium microphone and fireworks.
I love what I do. Getting to share some of the experiences it brings with my family makes me appreciate it even more.
At Brock Entertainment, we say, “It’s all about the experience.”
This time, I got to be grateful for ours.
