Pulling Together at the 2nd Annual Special Olympics Arkansas Plane Pull

The ultimate tug of war

There are a lot of ways to raise money for a great cause. Pulling an airplane down a runway is definitely one of the more memorable ones.

Brock Entertainment was proud to be back at Legends Air Center in Bentonville for the 2nd Annual Plane Pull benefiting Special Olympics Arkansas. We love being part of all things Special Olympics, and this event is one we were genuinely excited to support again.

Teams of 10, along with a few brave individual pullers, lined up on the runway to see who could move an airplane 75 feet in the fastest time. Yes, an actual airplane.

Each group grabbed the rope, dug in, and gave it everything they had. There was plenty of friendly competition, but the real energy came from watching teammates, families, volunteers, and spectators cheer each other on.

Big plane. Big rope. Big energy.

More than music

Brock Entertainment was there as the DJ sponsor, providing the music, announcements, sponsor recognition, and energy throughout the event.

On paper, that might sound like music and a microphone. In reality, there is a little more to it.

It means keeping everyone informed, recognizing the people who make the event possible, helping each team feel celebrated, and knowing when to turn up the energy. It also means stepping back when the moment belongs to the athletes, volunteers, and teams who showed up to support them.

That is what we love about community events. Music helps set the tone, but the people create the experience.

Why this event matters

The Plane Pull was not only about strength or bragging rights. All the money raised supports Special Olympics Arkansas and its year round programs for athletes across the state.

Special Olympics gives athletes with intellectual disabilities opportunities to train, compete, build confidence, develop friendships, and experience everything that comes with being part of a team.

That is something worth pulling for.

Events like this also bring the community together in a way that feels real. There were local teams, individual competitors, law enforcement, volunteers, vendors, food trucks, families, and plenty of people who simply came to cheer.

Everyone had a different reason for being there, but they were all pulling in the same direction.

This is not just another date on our calendar. These are the kinds of events that remind us why community partnerships matter. When good people come together around a great cause, our job is to help make the day fun, organized, welcoming, and memorable.
