Six years of being part of the fun

Some events become a tradition you look forward to every year. Premier Chef Northwest Arkansas is absolutely one of those for us.

On October 24, Brock Entertainment returned to the Rogers Convention Center for the sixth year of this culinary competition benefiting the Rogers Public Library Foundation. We have provided the DJ and emcee services every single year, and we love being part of it.

This year, RaeWill handled the music while I, Brock, handled the emcee duties for the evening.

Something unique every year

If you have never experienced this event, the food alone gives you a reason to come. The chefs create dishes specifically for the competition, which means you get to try something you might never have the opportunity to eat again. Every year, there is a dish that surprises you. Something creative, unexpected, and fun that gets people talking.

That is one of my favorite things about the evening. People get to mingle, enjoy amazing food, and spend time together while supporting something that matters to our community. It makes the event so much fun to be part of.

Congratulations to this year’s winners

A big congratulations to Matt Zimmerman of Cherokee Casino, this year’s overall winner, and Alejandra Serna-Cardona of Tyson Foods, who took home the Crowd Favorite award! Seeing the chefs recognized for the creativity and work they put into the evening is always a highlight.

Why the Rogers Public Library means so much to us

For me, though, our connection to this event goes back further than the competition.

When my daughter was young, I used to take her to the Rogers Public Library for toddler story time and the other events they offered for kids. Those are memories I still carry with me. I experienced firsthand what it meant to have a place in our community where families could come together, learn, and have fun.

That is why supporting the library means so much to me. Being part of this fundraiser is a way to give back to a place that was part of my daughter’s childhood and continues to be there for other families.

Six years in, we still look forward to the food, the people, and the chance to help make this evening special.

We will always support the Rogers Public Library.

It’s all about the experience. It’s all about giving back.
